Magic

I smell toast…. probably not a stroke…..

There is no proof that the smell of toast relates to a stroke. There is no proof for a lot of things that were once considered magic or miracles, but research is beginning to quantify some magical and miraculous happenings. I have experienced some unexplainable events and miracles.

Bravely, I will openly admit that I’m an empath.  Empath obviously comes from the word empathetic but many view the term “empath”, as a weirdo who believes in something other than God or a god so I haven’t spoken up about it except in groups of people who understand. According to Google dictionary:  Empath (chiefly in science fiction) a person with the paranormal ability to apprehend the mental or emotional state of another individual.

Hmm. Wonder why we don’t speak up!  If you want to understand it more and find out if you are one, this site I have found to give a broad understanding:  https://health.clevelandclinic.org/what-is-an-empath-signs-you-are-one/

Basically, I can feel the overall emotions of a room…if someone is insincere…can’t watch the news and some TV shows or movies, I couldn’t watch The Wizard of OZ as a child…sometimes I can touch someone and feel their energy vibration like a buzzing…watches used to stop when I would wear them and even a new battery wouldn’t work…I want to help people because I can feel their pain as if I had experienced it…it just goes on and on. If I had lived in the Middle Ages this would have been considered MAGIC and I would have been burned at the stake for being a witch.  In old Salem, I would have been drowned.

A gift or a curse?  Well, it can be both.  I can still be fooled by people because I want to believe everyone is honest and has good intentions. I am most comfortable in nature and think part of the problem in our world today is the lack of nature in people’s lives. Some people say empaths are overly sensitive.  I don’t think that I am because I have many tools to help me and living in Wyoming in the mountains is one of them.

Prayer helps, meditation helps, Qigong and Yoga help me.  I became a Reiki Master/Teacher and that helps so much. Some might say, “WEIRD”.

Reiki is not a religion.  Some Reiki masters call themselves healers; I do not.  I believe that we heal ourselves with the help of God, prayer, medicine, eating healthy, exercising…  Reiki is a practice.  Yoga is a practice. We practice sports, eating healthy, ballet, and music.  A dentist or physician practices medicine. So practicing Reiki daily increases the flow of energy through me. Reiki is a type of energy work.

As a Reiki Master, I hold space and assist someone in their own healing or emotional pain.  Think of it as being prayed over for an hour while one is lying down in a relaxed position. Reiki is a type of alternative medicine, a Japanese form of energy work or healing. It’s easy to look it up for yourself.  Daily, I practice these five principles with prayer hands:

Just for today, I will not worry.

Just for today, I will not anger.

Just for today, I will not harm.

Just for today, I will do my best work.

Just for today, I will be grateful.

As I pray these things, I focus on all the ways that I can incorporate them into my day.  I pray for protection.  I ask angels to assist me. I send love to all of my family and friends and those that I know are hurting all over the world.  I pray for the world to learn love and heal from hate.
