Nine matriarchs molded her life. They were women born at the turn of the 20th century who survived and thrived, guiding her in the old ways and by their loving example. Until 11 years old, she was allowed to roam bare-footed on the family's wooded 120 acres in southern Arkansas. Life was magical during childhood, wandering in nature and being cherished by nine women in their 60's. With puberty and adulthood, the discovery of life in a male-dominated world full of racial tension and religious rituals exposed her to fear and disappointment in mankind. She learned that Southern women were supposed to be strong, beautiful, and silent.  Intelligence should be kept a secret. 

"Nature heals me, meditation and prayer keep me positive, and family and friends encourage me. I'm a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) certified practitioner, a Usui Reiki Master/teacher using crystal grids and tuning forks during sessions, and a retired art teacher (MSE Art).  I know how to cook, sew, garden, and track animals or people. I can hunt and fish.  I save my seeds annually for the next year.  There is nothing better than having my bare feet in the dirt or snow and eating chocolate with a glass of red wine. I consider the most important thing that I have accomplished is learning to love. Life has been my teacher, loving and caring for the children that were in my care.”
