What to expect in a Session

First Session lasts about 2 hours. Follow-up Sessions about 1 & 1/2 hours. Email for appointment and pricing!

  • The session begins with a conversation regarding the clients’ reasons for desiring Reiki and specific needs for the session. This is followed by a selection of tuning forks while sitting, then Reiki with crystal grids on the massage table. After the session, there will be a brief conversation where information about the session results is shared.

  • During the Reiki portion of the session, the client remains fully clothed while lying on a massage table, so it is important to wear comfortable clothing.

  • The practitioner's hands may be placed on or above areas of your body, such as the head, shoulders, back, stomach, limbs, or feet.

  • Practitioners routinely follow a series of hand positions, but can place them in any specific location, such as an injury or other area of discomfort.

  • Most people experience deep relaxation, but you may also feel warmth, tingling, pulsing, or other sensations, and you may fall asleep.

  • Some feel profound effects, while others may feel little but afterwards enjoy a sense of calm and well-being. You may also experience powerful sensations or emotions during or after your session.

  • Drink plenty of water after a session to rid your body of toxin releases, just as you would from a deep tissue massage where lactic acid has been released.

  • It is suggested not to arrive with a full stomach, having just eaten.
